Guy Russo launches campaign for Chase by-election

Enfield Liberal Democrats are pleased to announce Guy Russo as our candidate for the Chase by-election on May 6th.

He is standing to protect Whitewebbs, make Chase a better place to live in and be a listening, hard-working councillor for the community.

Guy has always lived in Chase and like so many is deeply angry at the way the Council have treated locals.

Speaking about his campaign, and his priorities for Chase, Guy said:

“Lockdowns have reminded us all how lucky we are to have this wide-open green space on our doorstep. We must not lose meaningful and free access to any part of Whitewebbs, and any development must protect the ancient woodland and biodiversity throughout the park”

“The situation at Whitewebbs is typical of how this Labour Council treats voters. They are too busy fighting amongst themselves to listen to the people of Chase. They have already lost two councillors in Chase alone to defection and resignation, losing seven across Enfield overall following intense infighting.”

“I will be a different kind of Councillor. The Liberal Democrats believe in strong, independent-minded Councillors who involve residents in their decisions and keep in contact all year round, not just at election time.”

With your vote, Guy will be a strong Liberal Democrat voice for Chase, working hard to defend green spaces like Whitewebbs, improve local transport, stand up for local businesses on Lancaster Road and (unlike Labour or the Tories) keep in regular contact with you about your priorities for the area.
